Online Talk: Women of the Movement

Learn about women in Baltimore who desegregated various industries in the city during the Civil Rights Movement in this virtual discussion presented by the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Alexis Ojeda-Brown has worked at the BMI for 4 years and is the museum’s Marketing and DEAI Specialist. She is also the DEI Coordinator for University of Maryland’s Merrill College of Journalism. Formerly the program and education coordinator at the Lillie Carroll Jackson Civil Rights Museum, Alexis has developed curriculum for Baltimore City Public Schools exploring Baltimore’s Civil Rights History.

The Baltimore National Heritage Area presents the lunchtime lecture series, “It’s More than History,” from February – April 2023. It’s our fourth year presenting this popular lecture series! Talks are free! Please RSVP in advance! This is an encore presentation.
